We’ve had a heated discussion on the three - child policy in our class recently. Most of our classmates welcome the policy. The only child may feel lonely from time to time. Instead, it may make childhood more enjoyable if three children grow up together and take care of each other. Moreover, when our parents get old, we will feel less stressed if we have sisters or brothers to support them together.

Last but not least, more young adults are needed to serve the society, build our country to deal with the aging problem in China.On the other hand, a few students believe that the three-child policy brings some disadvantages as well. Firstly, we must share everything with younger brothers or sisters, including our parents’ love. Secondly, mothers are so busy looking after babies that they can not work whole-heartedly.

Even worse, they are more likely to lose jobs or themselves. Finally, when a family has to raise three children, parents need more energy and money. As a result, it will lower the living standard. In my opinion, we can’t decide whether our parents should have a third child or not. It depends on every family’s choice.
